You guys surely know likes exchanging methods: those weird websites where you put likes or do other actions, earning coins to invest in likes for your fb page.
Well it was all nice and working but today one of my newest pages went from 800 likes to 110, in 10 hours.
Did facebook detect likes origin and removed it?
The other reason could be that 690 people manually removed the like...but it's kinda impossible as it has been a "synchronized" loss.

I think Facebook its trying to fight the fake likes, sense like don't always determine the quality of the page.
if 690 didn't realy remember they like the page, maybe Facebook asked them if they are interested in the page directly like they do on fake users.
but ,its just a hunch.

How old were these likes? If it's somewhat new, maybe many of the users saw a recent post, unliked the page and reported it, which then made fb get rid of the fakes.

Why is this surprising at all?

There are very little to no real accounts in these exchange services, they're overriden by marketers and their bots, it doesn't take too much of an effort from any social media site to detect them. No-one use money accs to gather points, those are mostly the worst quality throwaway accs, they get easily disabled or even if they're somewhat decent quality, they're bots with all the characteristics.
