What happened to facebook public posts search?

I was trying to search for some keywords to get some public posts on facebook regarding it. Initially, we used to get results of status updates or posts from different users who had their privacy option as public.

But since the graph search update, I have not been able to do a search for public posts. Does anyone else know any other method to search or facebook just got rid of it?

I think with the latest update facebook removed that feature... Now you have to be friends of friends or somewhere along those lines.
