What happened to 27977 Socks all sudden?

any clue. did they change port.

being a tester of public socks and http
proxies i can confirm the 27977 socks
seem to have finally gone .
no other socks proxie of ammount has
taken its place

Is there any other common port like 27977 that i can scan USA ip ranges for?


to find some 2-3 socks in 1 state.
 
i was just looking through 400 usa
socks the most proxies i found on the same
port were 5

Those proxies were so called botnet proxies. Often very slow as well. It's just the same to me are those proxies gone or not. I used to scan for those proxies at speed of 1 million IPs a day and found usually 20-40 new every day.

Those proxies died far too fast considering efforts used so I stopped.

It's speculation but either anti-virus softwares finally detected that virus or the maker of virus simply changed port or blocked public access.
