Or is it just me? Or maybe it’s because I joined during COVID, when lots of people were at home and not too busy.

It's basically now paid platform, you can pay for whatever you want. Check out the pricing page.
You can pay for blue checkmark unlike before you have to be a artist, public figure or something which was ridiculous now it's new kind of ridiculous.

It’s definitely a different vibe now, seems like the shift to monetization has changed the platform’s dynamics.

Depends on what you’re using it for currently, I find that X/Twitter is still one of the top platforms for driving crypto based traffic, I did read somewhere that they’ve supposedly lost like 40% of their userbase since Musk took over - not sure how reliable that source is.

If 2020 is your reference point then you're not imagining it. A lot happened to the platform over the course of 5 years. Hard to miss too.

He is a scammer, he just scammed me out of $120, I gave him the money and he deleted the chat history without replying.

It's a lot harder than it used to be because you essentially need to know how to manipulate the algorithm to keep going viral repeatedly & you need to deliberately grow on it using a bunch of different strategies. Long gone are the days you can simply post & hope to grow.

There has to be a way to stop this. Because every day I get ridiculous posts as notifications. When I click on them, they are all useless posts. But still, they can appear in front of people.

I definitely agree with your opinion. Also, the internet activity has decreased a bit. As you know, everyone was at home during the pandemic.

Still a goldmine if you now how to use it :)
I agree, especially for cryptocurrency/memecoin promo’s - there’s no platform like it in terms of traffic conversion rate (maybe Reddit comes close).

Yeah, you're not alone. X definitely feels very different and less engaging than it used to.

It has improved a lot. You wont get ban for small things. Plus paid feature is actually somewhat useful if you are running a legitimate business.

Were you absent for a while and then hop back on the app? it's one of the fastest means of not understanding what's happening. I see active accounts that grew from 20k to 100k within the covid period and now. X is just fine.

The management changed. Even the platform name changed from Twitter to X. So, that is to be expected. Still, it works great as a digital marketing platform if you know what you are doing or you're selling NSFW content, which is not allowed on other platforms.
