What format should I send the guest post?

Most of my life I have done black hat links. So this is the first time I did an "outreach" campaing and I got a reply that someone wants me to write an article about them and link me site.

But how do I send the guest post on gmail?

I know how to send it, but I mean do I send it on notepad, word, or how? Mostly why I'm asking this question is because I have already choose where my anchor text will be so sending it on notepad or word wont actually hyperlink the word on wordpress.

Or should I just send it on notepad and also tell him where to link my website?

They're probably going to copy-paste it into Wordpress, so .docx is usually a fine choice.

Yep, the Word docx format is pretty much standard for sending guest posts. If the publisher messes it up anyway, just tell them.

Send them a word document with the text and the links already there.
Also send with a meta title and meta description that they have to add to the post afterwards.

I can say that Word is the best way to go. There are reasons for this.
The formatting (Headers, bullets etc) transfer over to most CMS systems with a copy and paste.
Don't be temped to send HTML format yourself though. It's unlikely that any site will keep your article exactly as you format it, it's a bit cheeky to send HTML
If you don;t have Word use Docs or OpenOffice (both free) At a push you could send a .txt, but Word is the preferred format.

The standard is always in a word file. However, I have encountered some sites where they wanted me to send it using a notepad. What I did is I included the html codes. They usually copy and paste everything, so might as well submit it in a word file. If they made a mistake, you can always contact them and have it corrected.

Hi,

use a notepad .txt file with correct html...think thats the safest version.
