What Features Would You Like To See In An Article Directory?

I'm thinking about setting up an article directory. This will be a part of a bigger project I've been thinking about doing for a while now. Since my directory will be new, I know it'll be challenging to get traffic and authors.

My questions are, as marketers, what features would you be interested in having in an article directory? What would make you more likely to submit articles?

I know traffic, PR, and authority are some pretty big factors, but those will come with time. My first challenge will be getting authors to submit articles.
