What Factors Help in Indexing a Link?

It needs to be:
- discoverable (achieved easily by with existing backlinks, ideally with traffic)
- crawlable (bots must be allowed and source must be worthy of crawling)
- indexable (no restrictions either from user or search engine)
- worthy of indexing (quality piece of content generally speaking)
What else?
URLs like Pinterest Pins, what helps in getting them indexed?

- sending direct ping
- Reddit post
- using shortners
- YouTube video
- web 2.0 link
- etc
