What Exactly is a Web design? How can i complete a webdesign project ?

I have just learned web design . But i am confused with the service i provide. Some people are offering web design service with photoshop or adobe xd designs. Some are creating front-end stuff and some freelancers are developing a whole with Wordpress or using programming languages . What is the point here?

Can anyone explain it clearly ?, Please !!:(

If you're doing it with Adobe Photoshop you can call it a website mock-up design. If you're developing the whole website you can call yourself a developer.
 
Just use elementor or oxygen builder , you are a webdesigner now. There are like thousands of templates to choose from if you prefer not to start the design from scratch. Or copy other websites. There are many ways to skin the cat.

If you are designing your web designs in Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Photoshop or anywhere.. You are a web designer

If you are taking the already created web design and making it into a live website with coding, or some builder tools - you are a web dev

Or you can do both - but if you specialize in one thing and excel it, you can get paid much much much more. This is coming from a professional UX & UI designer
 
If you use page builders you are just a web designer, if you can add new features to the website that are not in the original format you are a developer.

So you are saying that a person that codes and actually completely rebuilds the website (without adding any new feature as you stated) is a web designer? :D Oh please, don't confuse the OP even more.
 
Graphics Designer = Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, Gimp, Adobe Illustrator... NO CODING KNOWLEDGE.
Web Designer = Adobe Xd, Figma... NO CODING KNOWLEDGE.
Front-End Web Developer = Translating designer files (images) into actual code, HAS CODING KNOWLEDGE.


What's causing you confusion is that people are using these terms incorrectly, meaning a FE Web Developer when they use the term Web Designer.
But a Web Designer is merely a specialized graphics designer that makes user interfaces (UI).
