Hello, I'm taking my step into the world of marketing, and could use a little guidance. I've been a freelance web-designer for the last three years, but up until now I've never worked for a company strictly on advertising campaigns. Recently I was hired to work with a local beauty store on re-creating their website, pretty much from scrap. I used WordPress to create a pretty solid website. After the site was finished, I signed a 6 month contract with the client at $20 / hr. This will give me the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of marketing a business, and bring in money at the same time.
I'm wondering what I should do to bring in more visitors to the website, build the social media presence, and how a small business can best benefit from having online marketing. I've already done the following to the website, or I'm working on it currently.
Any links that would help me establish a small business online would be greatly appreciated.
Also anyone giving away free Facebook likes, I have a seperate page for a global blog that I'm starting.
