And I don't know if this has been mentioned but inter linking can give great power as well!

nothing at all, only web 2.0, and make sure you don't use proxies when on blogger

Don't forget to increase the power of your web2.0s by using the accounts, as that is what they are there for.

Find the highest value channels on the sites, and post comments on them, sort of like internal linking really.

There was a way to sort channels etc by their PR but I have forgotted its name.

You can use personally built links, good bookmarks, high quality guest posts and relevant backlinks too. Using professional business directories will further improvise your tier 1 system.
