After killing it in my exams to get into uni, I lasted 2 weeks there. It was far too slow-paced for me, and I already had tonnes of self-taught knowledge.
A few years later I got a job by lying on my resume saying I had a degree. Within a month I was in charge of a room full of guys who actually had degrees and knew shit all - it became very apparent to me that university has nothing on what you can teach yoursel ok the Internet.
How did you fake a degree?

I dropped from college in the 2nd semester and I have to agree that I wasted one full year of my life because I learnt nothing during that period. Thereafter, I started doing some petty jobs, and one fine day I started writing articles. I must say that it was the best day of my life, and I am still writing articles and loving it. It is to be noted that I just left the college but education continued. I studied from home and within a month I will be holding a Management Degree. College Ruins big time. Most of the guys who were along with me in the first year went on to complete graduation with flying colors but are earning a meager $300 per month... I feel bad for them and at the same breath thank God that I failed in 2nd semester of my college.

I'd hate to say this, but your attitude towards school is sad, and clearly colored by what I would assume are some unfortunate experiences.
Although I agree that many educational institutions stifle the entrepreneurial spirit, an education is what you make of it. I feel that you've given up on education far too soon for your opinion to really be deemed relevant; it's like saying you hate hamburgers when you've never even tried one. I urge you to at least finish high school (grade 12) before you make a generalization about education.
As for myself; I have a BS in Architecture, and a BA in German. After the recession in 2008/9 I was laid off, but managed to take the important aspects of my education and apply them to other industries in addition to architecture. I am a partner in 2 companies, and am involved in projects ranging from web design / development to CGI and VFX for film. As I said; an education is what you make of it, and I'm doing my best to mine count.

I hated studying to be honest but well it's what "normal" people are supposed to do. Never studied for exams, I read the summaries other students made one time before exams and I passed them. 1 hour after the exams I would have already forgetten everything that I learned. I have kind of a photographic memory in that way which was pretty useful.
But to be honest looking at it now, my studies weren't very useful and I think most people think like that. I've been thinking about getting a MBA but since I'm selfemployed, what's the point really.
When I have children I will of course force them to study because I had to suffer so they should too

Quit school in 2000 when I was living in my country didn't even complete any degree nor high school :baby:
2008 came to USA, 2010 took the GED and got it but didn't even bother to go to college.
Last 2 years I am a full time IM guy, serving myself and for my family
