Ok this isn't a question about what can rank higher, I know thats just a question of skillfull SEO.

Lets assume there is a url I want, the .com is gone (but not in use) and all the other options are still there. If I want a site to be perceived as being global (at least for english speakers) what is the domain type that people trust most and are likely to click through on.

.info
.net
.org

something else ?

Well it doesnt really matter if or how many people would like to click if your domain isnt on page one i guess...

But the best domain extension is still .com, followed by my-website.com and then a .net

The rest i would forget esp .info. Those are just throw away domains for a quick project.

For some reason I've never fully understood, .info's seem to have a high CTR in my portfolio.

net's and org's do pretty well due to their inherent higher level of trust, but there's....something....about .info's that gets a higher CTR...

other than that it's a pretty ghetto tld...I think it has little trust level, but damn that CTR is nice sometimes....
