Rank refers to the position of your blog or site that appears in the results of Search Engine. Although they are sometimes augmented with local listings, videos, and images.
Ranking is influenced by age of site, quality of the site links relevancy of the page and the level of competition among others.

Yup, you are right but not only for 10 results. It will be calculated upto the last page of search result.

RANK is an algorithm used by google search to RANK websites in their search engine results. RANK works by counting the number and quality of links to a page to determine a rough estimate of how important the website is.

According to a website, Ranking is an important factor which needs to place the position in SERP of Google within 1 or 2 pages. Ranking is said to be done by selecting the unique and low competing keywords.
Metrics such as DA, PA, Alexa, CF and TF which are used to assign the website ranking. Each has a certain value that assign rank in Google search page.

It mean showing up in the first 10 to 20 results for a particular keyword?

Rank is just not like getting first position or in first page of google,which in term your site should have a good quality content with a more number of keywords,more back links,meta lists,meta tags,social shares,and your website should have more number of viewers as well.
To rank in google you need to follow certain metrices and which results in good ranking.

This means getting to the top-100 for a keyword. You can rank for a keyword on 1st-100th place. If you're below that line you're not ranking. If you're on the 101st position, you simply don't rank. There's no sorting or anything beyond the 10th page (100th place) of Google it's just a pile of random crap.

I think most people mean top 10, but I like the top 100 theory. Because one you see yourself in the top 100, you get inspired to lower it.
