What does it actually mean to sell via pm?

So I can't message people that indicate interest in my service?
I don't know when I would make mistake that violate any rule that would lead to my getting banned.
I don't want to lose my account and and Jr VIP membership

You can sell as Jr.VIP, if:

• You have a BST;
• You reply to an WTB thread.

If you don't have a BST, and initiate a sale through pm, your account is at risk.

Yes. If it's an wtb/hire a freelancer thread, you can answer it via pm.

Selling via PM is against the rules unless a) you are an upgraded member and b) the sale was initiated via the marketplace (which includes WTB and HAF forums).

Having said that, I beleive in your case you received a warning for publishing sales based content in the form of a forum thread; similarly to the PM restrictions you cannot post any sales based content unless it is posted in the marketplace (Specifically in the form of an approved and paid for sales thread, or simply by responding to requests for products/services in WTB or HAF (And again you must be an upgraded member to do this, which you are).
