I have a adscend media offer that "converts at first page" does this mean I get payed when the page gets opened from my link?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, just want to be absolutely sure.

most cpa offers have lots of different offers attached to them.

so when you submit the first cpa offer, it redirects you to another, and so on, trying to milk the user out of filling as much cpa offers as possible, more money for the network.

first page payout means you'll be paid when the user completes the first offer they see.

a lot of email submits only payout on second page, etc

Yeah, you really want to figure at what stage all offers payout really, especially freebie offers, as once you get through all the scrubbing that goes on (a good test of this was conducted here), a lot of them (as said by the above poster), don't payout until the second page offer is submitted, even though it may be an "email submit" and the email form field is on the first page.

How exactly do you find out what stage the offer actually pays out on?

    Ask your affiliate manager.

A lot of offers start with email/zip submit > more personal info > first page offer.

It could just mean that when the user reaches the first page you get the conversion.

Yup. It's always best to get it from the horses mouth than to listen to guys on a forum who don't know the particulars.

read the details in the campaign description at your cpasite, if it says first page it means it usually pays out when they enter their info on the first page not all offers convert on first page when you test it out so test offers from various sites and when you get a convert on the 1st page and it shows then your good to go to promote that one if it doesnt convert when you test it out then you should skip that one and find one that works
keep testing have your friends on im test it out too

usually it'll convert right when they enter their email and hit the continue button.
like others said though, check with your AM! the wording can sometimes be tricky
