I've been reading around a lot and the term EMD comes up, but I have no idea what it means and can't find it on my own.

as assphuck said, it's 'exact match domain' so if you wanted to rank for the keywords 'blue widget discounts', your emds would be bluewidgetdiscounts.com, bluewidgetdiscounts.net and bluewidgetdiscounts.org. Although those are best, a emd plus a word could also be used if they were taken... like bestbluewidgetdiscounts.com.

Exact match domain. Something like buyfootballsonline.com would be a good example and with proper search engine optimization (SEO) you could rank for that exact keyword and ones very similar without much work.

Exact Match Domain :D

If you are ranking for: easy iPhone games, then a good EMD would be: easyiphonegames.com, easyiphonegames.co.uk and so on.

Every Man Dies

It's a very strange cult spreading around the SEO community, that's why you see it so much.

why dont u use google for this kind of questions just a waste or space on the forum and a waste of energy for other members

So helping other fellow BHW users is a waste of energy?
Go to WF or DP if it's such a "waste of energy" for you to help others.

Helping other people in the forum is never a "waste of energy" Always think that one point in time, you also needed help and people helped you out.

There are levels of understanding. So I can't blame you.

helping is good i dont have a problem with that but why being lazy and to not use the search engine first if he cant figure it out then he can come here and ask u guys talkin no sense look at his question no offense to the op but we need quality threads in here

what would be the point of having the forum if we didn't help each other...it's not like every member knows everything about IM.

Because according to Google, an "EMD" is
Electro
Motive
Diesel

The guy asked a question he needed an answer to, and he got his answer.

So fuck off already.

As sure as the sun sets in the west, I always can count on at least one member here to come up with a gem like this. Brilliant.
You're such a help to the community with this attitude.

Can't you search in google???
If you can do that then you should do that easily.
By the way EMD means Exact Matched Domain.

this thread is dead. Op got his answer already, why do you guys keep replying if there's already loads of the same answers?
