I am using Ranker X to do some postings, and on their info status shows "DA", what in the world is that?

Domain Authority. This is the most popular metric that most people adopted after the official Page Rank (rip) from Google was discontinued. This metric was invented by a third party (SEOMoz), and they also have a PA (page authority) https://moz.com/learn/seo/page-authority

If you think that's too much, there's also a CF, TF, DR, UR, ad nauseam from other SEO companies.

Da is domain authority and pa is page authority.

It denotes the Domain Authority. it represents the overall domain score of a site that indicates how well your site will rank in the Search engines. It is provided by MOZ.

DA and Google have nothing to do with each other. In fact even if Google bans you website, that website will still have a DA score.

Although higher DA is better for ranking, it's not unusual for lower DA website to outrank lower DA website.
