Hello,

As most of you know, I have been actively involved with BHW for many years now. I'm extremely grateful to the community here. When I first joined, I had never made $1 online. Now, I'm well into 7 figures. That's not to be boastful - merely some inspiration for those of you starting out and struggling.

If you want a bit more background, here's my 3000th post: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/553696-my-3000th-post-zero-seven-figures.html

I've organised meetups in London and Chicago: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...8406-bhw-london-meetup-christmas-special.html

I've written extremely popular methods, read by thousands: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/359445-easy-100-day-perfect-noobs.html

I was very thankful to be asked to speak at IRL and it was suggested that I open it up to the members here to decide what I talk about (inspired by Shoemoney: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/bhw-conference/651726-help-what-should-i-talk-about.html).

So, what would people like to hear? I have a real range of experience, but specialise in buying/selling/brokering/flipping websites. I also started my business with no startup funds/investment so know what it's like to start from nothing and build a business up. The speaking I have done so far is very specific to due diligence/buying websites so I was hoping for something a little different this time.

For anyone coming to the conference, I would be more than happy to answer any questions in person/buy you a drink/play Blackjack with you :)

Anyway, this is BHW's conference, so BHW members can tell me what they want to hear. All suggestions welcome...

This shows what hard work and dedication can do, from $1 to reaching 7 figures.
I'm hoping to come close to that some day.

I admire you, that is all.. Good luck on your future projects !

With all the experience you've accumulated over time in flipping sites, I'd be interested in hearing more about building/ranking/flipping sites as a business model - what should webmasters be doing from day 1 to maximize the value of the site (better stats/building lists/etc.) to get the best buck when it's time to flip.

I'd like to know how you sucker guys into betting 50.00 against you in a round of golf... alternatively some of your thoughts on vetting those you do business with online could be a huge help to many.

I'd like to see you talk about buying &selling sites rather than building.
Most sites out there can be making a lot more money with simple changes (design, ad placement, text etc.. CRO stuff), buying a site, making changes on the site and such, then selling it. How to get the most money out of it etc, I think this would help plenty of peope.

Thanks for doing this meathead1234.

My question is: would you rather focus on one project until it flies or spread the risk on a few smaller projects and watch which one is more likely to succeed?

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, keep them coming...

This isn't really something I can talk for ~30 minutes about. Maybe as part of Q&A but for my speaking part, I want a topic a little more expansive :)

I'd like to know something a little off-topic: how did you/do you juggle family/personal life on the 6-year journey from 0 to 7-figure income?

Bump. Keep the suggestions coming :)

BHWconference has grown into something better, bigger & more essential to the success of your business.
We've teamed up with some of the world's most influential and provocative thinkers and we're sponsoring the event which will truly help you maximise your earning potential. It's a unique, no holds barred UNconvention: UNGAGGED - hosted this year by Erika Napoletano.

UNGAGGED will break rules. Rules you may not know existed but which have constricted every other SEO convention you have ever attended.
At UnGagged, geniuses who know how to help you profit, will speak without fear of being told to STOP, by the corporates who think they're in charge.
You'll hear stuff you won't hear anywhere else, ever again. (At least, not until the next UnGagged!)

Things are changing. And we're excited to be part of the change.
Looking forward to seeing you at UnGagged.

Hey mate, I'm actually really looking forward to seeing your presentation, thanks for speaking and sharing your experience/knowledge :)

What I would be interested in is any advice you can give, based on your experiences, as to purchasing websites to create an "investment portfolio" of sorts. I was wondering how viable it would be to purchase smaller websites since they are easier to purchase and cheaper (usually SEO traffic based would be my guess?), hold onto them and then flip them off, and keep doing this with multiple websites. I'd be interested in if this is viable, any advice for scaling this up, outsourcing the work and any ways to minimize risk. Or, if this is not viable with smaller websites, a way to do this with larger websites.

If you could discuss that, that'd probably make my trip worth it alone. Or chat about it over drinks. Either-or ;)

Cheers :)

Hi Thomas,

After purchasing tickets, I think I can reply on this thread :)
Thomas, I know you guys at FEInternational are picky when it comes to choosing the projects to be sold. In time you built a list of buyers who trust you. The way you built that trust ( which is very solid since your sell websites even for 1mil+) can be an example for people who are interested in B2B solutions.

Only just saw this reply. I'm going to be talking about building up and selling a ~$1m website.

I do strategically advise a number of clients (along with my own portfolio) on acquisition strategy. There's no one-size fits all way to do it, so more than happy to sit down over drinks/blackjack etc. to point you in the right direction!

That's interesting - never really thought of my skill set like that! Again, not something that will be in my speech but more than happy to give you some tips in person :)
