I ask this so I can better understand what people are doing when they first get started.I see questions about what free one to use what content and so on so instead of reading everyone's threads an d getting old info I want to know what is the thing to do at this moment and here how you do it.

Here's a basic list of how to start.
    • choose a niche and microniche.
    • search that microniche to find existing articles.
    • rewrite or spin those articles to create your own articles.
    • choose a blogname and/or domain name targeted to your niche or microniche.
    • use wordpress to set up your blog
    • choose a theme you like (or just use the default wp theme)
    • add whatever plugins you want (for seo and useability)
    • post 2 or 3 initial articles to your blog
    • ping your blog
    • give a day or two for your blog to get indexed.
    • post 2 or 3 more articles to your blog
    • create some basic backlinks to those articles on highly crawled sites. (bookmarking, social networking, etc.)
    • That should be enough to get the crawlers to see your blog as a regularly updated site and keep it on their crawl list.
    • Give it another day or two then add your monetization ads. (referral links, adsense blocks, or whatever).
    • After that just continue posting occasional new articles to your blog as you want (especially when you want to target new keywords).
    • Use some of the articles you write, rewrite, or spin to post on article directories and/or on free blogs to create some relevant backlinks to your main blog.

After following those steps just continue building backlinks to your blog homepage and the individual pages for each keyword you're targeting.

Though what I am saying is a bit off track from the actual niche of the thread but Dizz before getting started with anything I think you should take a Look at the latest case studies of Google panda 2.5 update,in and out of the forum.I am sure a little precaution will also help you while starting out a blog.

Yeah, that's part of step 1. Choose a niche and microniche. A microniche would be the longtail keywords you decide on. Regardless of what general niche you decide on, you should always search within that niche to select good low competition longtail keywords to target.

What does "ping your blog" mean? Can I go to a ping website and "ping" my blog there?

i can use iautoblog to make 200 microniched sites and run ads for a year for 80usd a month run the ads that fit and then pay 250 usd for the sites and spend another 300 a month for seo so thats 380 a month plus 250 to set it up all the sites. the object is to get the sites making 1usd each a day tell me what you think

Here's another question which I have been trying to figure out. While I understand the importance of split-testing ad blocks and what-not...

    1) What kind of base theme would you use for a Micro-Niche/EMD type of Blog
    2) If different, what base theme would you use for an Autoblog?

While I have a set of EMD's I will be working on shortly and understand that each one can yield different results, I am unsure which ideology to use when it comes to picking a theme for those. Authority themes vs adsense themes vs ugly themes for those quick click aways (or is that a thing in the past?) vs [etc].

Is there a theme that yields a higher CTR (post-panda) that is an ideal template for these different types of blogs?

Any natural theme would be attractive as far as traffic is concerned.I often use different type of environment prevention type of themes that makes it more sophisticated

I still am trying to find out but remember the object is for the person to spend time on your site and your ads.
1 the theme should match the niche itself that's should be evident
2 it no different with an autoblog look does matter

Thanks to both. Matching to the niche is what I intend to do. So then, should I even bother with things like CTR theme/Clickbump/Bluesense or HeatMap (well, I guess Heatmap also does have an Authority skin or two)? As those focus more so on CTR but for returning customers they seem to lower the bar quite a bit.

The big point is to get a returning base and set your sites on reasonable goals at first then more to bigger things.

    My question would be....
How to find niches... Cause I quit White hat seo after having troubles with finding niches, and even write a 300 page ebook about white hat seo...
So I am still not really sure if I should start again with seo stuff.
    Any suggestions for me? :)

Well that all depends if you outsource the work or if you want to do it yourself i like the idea of outsourcing work it leaves time to work on new ways but you have to make sure to make a point you at least break even when you get started.

Alright then. If this is kinda the new "how to" with "I need my answers" thread for blogs. I have another ;)

Say you run a few AMR campaigns. What to do with Pingbacks? Just trash them? As I sometimes have over 100 pingbacks from a single AMR burst.

I know the title is deceptive but it keeps the people who dont read stay away.As far as the pingbacks someone else will have to answer that.
