What do you think would be a good way to get people to go to your forum?

posy in other forums advertising on youtube, articles and any other social network site

just go around other forums and find some link swaps. get some good content, something someone would want to read in your forum. new tricks, special offers, etc.

Give free stuff and your forum will
become popular.

Most people will never use your free
stuff but they will be satisfied with
the feeling of
owning
another secret and that will motivate
them to comeback for the next new
thing. It's like dangling the carrot.

Let me ask you... why do you think
most of us like this forum? If you
think outside the box you will come
up with good things to give away.

Once you have few free stuff to
start with, let your members to do
it for you so that you can leverage
them to build your forum.

People love to belong to a community
so they will share more so that they
will have a feeling of... "I'm a part of it"...

Trust me when you do this your forum
will never be visited by ghost (only) but
some humans too.

Now how are you going to get some
free stuff?

Well, you can upload what you have
on your hard drive to rapidshare and
link to your site. You can pretend you
are another user (not the owner) of
the forum and act as if you are a
member who have found this secret
ebook that you can't keep it to yourself
but you have to share it to every one.

Also.. you can go to goarticles or
ezinearticles and search for the
contents related to your forum. Once
you get your contents convert them
into a pdf format and offer it for
free.


You can also convert those text into
speech (mp3) to increase the value
of your materials and give then away
for free.

I think it works well to advertise the freebie that you have in other forums, just mention that it's available in the other forum. Link to the thread you've put it on. That can attract people to explore and register at your forum too.

Any offer shows motivation. Trial and error is key. Try and try again, different methods, different markets. Spread deep.
