What Do You Think is the Fastest Wordpress Theme?

My choice and I am happy with these: GeneratePress, Genesis Framework with its Sample Child Theme & NewspaperX

I'd love to build a site in html/CSS. If there was a site builder to produce static content but be able to manage the whole site in a manageable way I'd do it. Such as creating place holders for dynamic ads etc and also to create a proper site structure.

Anyone know a way of doing this?
Many static site generators do this (proper site structure), here is how Jekyll handles permalinks, for example.
Manageable meaning? I, for example, don't like that I don't have an WordPress-like editor to write my posts. But that doesn't mean anything, there are plenty Markdown editors out there, or cloud alternatives that do the job: CloudCannon, SiteLeaf, Prose.io ....(in no particular order).
About dynamic ads, you can place them wherever you want, it's just a bit of HTML that you have to learn. If I'm not wrong, AdSense has smart ads or something like that, you put a Js script on your page and the script will handle ads positions where they fit best in your page.

Interesting. Do HTML sites can handle SEO elements like breadcrumbs, sitemap, related posts, robot.txt? How?

Thanks before.

I'm using Rehub and scoring 100% on pagespeed

I would suggest this theme for Marketplace / Affiliate / Price comparison shops

It is really the best in these categories

Hi all, I'm looking to buy a new theme, one thats lightning fast to load but looks nice too.

There's so many to choose from you never know who to believe.

My current theme is Avada but I find it too slow to load and I'm on decent hosting too (Siteground).

Anyone got any suggestions?
A theme from Studiopress line up or Generatepress are built for speed and are SEO friendly. Hope this helps.

GeneratePress with a child theme hosted on SiteGround with caching plugins activated. 99/99 score. I build all my money sites on the same theme :)

I use a theme from Studiopress with the Genesis child theme along with a premium cache plugin. My GTmetrix load time is under 3 seconds.

1. Astra Pro
2. OceanWP
3. GeneratePress
.....

GeneratePress is not bad but the free version is quite limited. You really have to buy a license to take advantage of all the potential of this theme, however it is definitely worth it.

+1 for Astra Pro.

are you still using a child theme? have you noticed that it has a negative impact on speed and web vitals?

I use generatepress with Gutenburg addons.

Flys like shit off a shovel.

I have tried a lot of themes for my clients, there were always a point of pain left after project delivery that is speed. As these are using many Js and Css files so it increases the load time of the website. Now I have started creating small HTML sites for my clients and they are pretty good in terms of speed. A simple HTML page can bring a speed to 95. What else is required, i know it is difficult to implement HTML for bigger websites but somewhere you need to do compromise.
