Do You Think Stats Links Help With Rankings?

    So there are tons of tools for the whois type backlinks, I'm using one and thinking about backlinking those. I think they're pretty good cuz they're above the fold on High Quality sites. What's your experience with those and do you know if they can be indexed? Anyone test it out and see if it helps or hurts rankings, I doubt it would hurt them though I haven't seen any bad effects.

    the only thing they are really good for is rapidly indexing your site. I'm doubtful if they carry any kind of seo weight.

    I don't think they do any harm, but I haven't seen any positive effect on rankings from them either. Like the_demon said, they're good for getting a site indexed, but beyond that don't expect much.

    Ya that's what I have always thought but I don't see how the search engines can tell the difference between a blog post/website link between a stats link. It's a direct link to your website in essentially a post. Ehh guess I'll test it out.
