What do you think about traffic bots?

Hey guys, I just wanted to learn whether fake/bot traffic to the websites could affect ranking.
I think that would work if we mimic human actions with a bot, but I am unsure whether Google can detect it.
What do you think? Have you ever tried this on a keyword to rank up?
Fake or bot traffic alone usually doesn't improve rankings
Google's algorithm is pretty advanced at detecting non-human behavior.
That said, if the traffic mimics real human actions (scrolling, time on site, clicks, low bounce rate), it might have short-term effects. But it's risky once detected, it could hurt your rankings or credibility

Fake traffic doesn’t move the needle anymore. Google’s way too smart in 2025 — it sees the difference between real users and bots, no matter how much you try to mimic clicks. I’ve seen people burn cash on this with zero ranking change.

Traffic bots that mimic real user behavior might give a temporary boost, but Google's algorithm are smart and can usually detect fake traffic. It's risky and not a long-term SEO strategy. Instead works on Real engagement. Because it works better.

Traffic bots just bring fake visits. Real people are better for real results.

This is a test I've been doing with the one I created. I specifically used a website with few backlinks for a fair test.

bot traffic alone won’t rank u but if u mimic human patterns right like scroll click dwell it can tilt signals a bit. g knows how to sniff low quality runs tho. if u test keep it tight mix with real and don’t overdo or u trigger flags.

The problem is that the bots are so bad, it's obvious bot traffic. When you know how to spoof it right, it's different.

I’ve tested bot traffic in the past, and if it mimics human behavior (like clicking SERPs, staying on page, scrolling, etc.), it can send positive signals temporarily. But if it's not combined with real user engagement or good content, rankings usually drop fast. Google’s getting better at detecting patterns.

I’ve wondered the same, but from what I’ve seen, bot traffic doesn’t help much. Google’s pretty good at spotting fake behavior. Real user signals always seem to have more impact over time.
