What do you think about Linkedin deindexing their Pulse articles from Google?

Hi. What do you think about Linkedin deindexing their Pulse articles from Google? Apparently they are not using the noindex tag, but the robots file to block the indexation.

they might be trying to prevent google's AI from scraping their site (although, couldn't google steal the content simply by visiting the site??)

If that's not it maybe there's a legal issue between them
