What do you think about gambling?

If you want to make money from gambling, I recommend you promote it as an affiliate. Big money, if you can get the traffic.

Looks like a good idea, never promoted betting products on CB yet.

I've never once gambled in my life and I'm 32 now.

Although sometimes marketing can be a form of "gambling". You put down money and take risks, so maybe I have gambled. Just not in the traditional sense as far as casinos, horses or the lotto goes.

The games are designed to profit the people running them, so how could you profit in the long run?

Because the odds are based on what other people are betting on. Some bookies work off as low as 3% profit margins so if you know a lot about it you can make money, lots of people do

You are too naive about gambling, this game is totally nothing about odds, nothing about lucky, nothing about mathematics (although it's base on numbers). I do trust that gambling was invented for fun at the first, but people who lead this activity into an industry has a well aware of people's psychological.

If you win, will you leave the table?(no, don't tell me you will, 99% people don't); If you loose, will you leave the table? (no, don't tell me you will, 99% people don't). So, let's say you have some luck, you win first, and go on and play bigger. And you have good luck means bad luck will follow(it's a balence), when you lost a bigger one, all you wins before might be nothing at all.

So as long as you are playing on the table, you will loose your money eventually. This is nothing about skill, odds and luck. This just some basic human psychological.

Ohh, don't tell me those people do actually make money in gambling, I mean you are talking about people who has superb skills, fast and powerful psychological resilience, selfcontrol and discipline and will not been affected by the environment and people's emotions around. Will you be the one???

If you play against the house, you are certain to lose money in the long run. If you play against other players, poker for example, you can make money provided you have the skills.

I was gambling for a year on forex back in 2008. Lost everything. I know the two technically aren't the same, but without an extremely long term strategy in forex, it's just gambling. But the two do have one thing in common: The House ALWAYS wins... To really profit, be the casino, not the gambler.

I was talking about sports betting not casinos (althought you're naive if you think no1 wins at poker lol). And yes sports betting/trading is entirely based on numbers. I wonder why only 1 bookmaker advertises as never closing accounts, because people win lol.
Again you're talking about casinos, I'm talking about sports betting, cba talking anymore. You'll find plenty of people win money at it but thanks for your input

Gambling can be goldmine if you know what you are doing, but if you don't then stay away from it.

I wonder why only 1 bookmaker advertises as never closing accounts, because people win lol.

The reason is just the opposite, people lose so that bookmaker advertises can always go on and those few people win just some kind of good subject matter of their advertising.

And as I said before no tottally difference between casino and sport betting or any other gambling ways. Many people trust they are different and most of them(even in this forum) do believe if we play each other(among players not players vs makers), gambling will been profitable for those skilled people. Apparently, if money just go between players, they must been put into somebody's packet eventually.

Is that really happen? Not to mention that bookmakers take commissions(the more you play, the less money left "on the table", slow but steady), you will not leave "the table" win or loose, this make the finally end. Of course there are few people can make this happen like I said(selfcontrol and discipline, high skilled, will you been the one? or when you told people that gambling is profitable, how many percent of these people can reach this level?)

And also no need to tell me that you knew(saw, heard) somebody made big money in gambling? these can prove nothing. Any one you named out, I can give you 100 times of people who lost everything in playing gambling.

What do i think about gambling?

It is illegal in my country.
Stay away from gambling.
addiction to gambling = new problem.

Just gambling doesn't make one addicted to it,it's pretty harmless. And it's even more fun to gamble where it's illegal. The countries where they go crazy about gambling are the same ones you can bribe cops easy
