The Richest Man in Babylon is my next to read.

Currently I'm reading, Think and Grow Rich - Napolean Hill. Just the first chapter in that book has given me so many gold nuggets about how failure is actually a tool and most successful people "fail" all the time.

Ca$hvertising is a great book that I just finished... It slightly reminded me of a guru book, but had some great psychological tips for making sales and relating to people.

I tried Think and Grow Rich but didn't really get it, haha. Do you think I should give it another go?
 
Anything by Bernard Cornwall especially the Uthred of bebbanburg series as they are about to turn it into a tv series.

Effectively it's historical fiction but great fun, adventures.

Only read BHW. I'm not really into reading ebooks. Would love to read a great book though, a real book, where I can turn pages.

I like "real" books as gives me a chance to get away from the PC/laptop for a few hours and not be constantly thinking of clients!

I don't know about this one.

Never read it but sounds like a bunch of hype. It's like the kind of thing Pewep would post - just stay positive and all your dreams will be manifested. The part they miss out is the bit about taking action. You could be a starving man on the streets of Kolkata, and no amount of positive thinking would make any difference whatsoever... but I digress.

The Obstacle is the Way is the opposite of this nonsense - I highly recommend that you read it.

Social sites like- Facebook, Twitter, G+ and some other ways also.

This book isn't hundred pages long as it would be easy to finish reading it (it's 27).

And he's got a really good hand on english describing everything he wants to. Hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I did.

Let me recite you loud and clear, it's not mine, I just wanted to help OP keep busy with his interest, that's all.
 
I went through a period where i read all those books, before i was really doing IM, i worked as a security guard, and just read all the marketing and bidness books i could find.

You should check out some of the older business books, from 1980's. They have really great stuff in them, that people nowadays aren't reading so its easy to learn weird new ideas, and the approaches are much more varied as well as the real world examples as these authors had to actually go in to the companies and speak to people. Tom peters "in search of excellence" is a good example, its like 1982

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Wrote down a lot of notes and I plan on reading it again. You should give it another go!

Thinking fast and slow was good indeed, although i did not read the thinking fast and slow till the end, yet.
Tipping point was great. Another good book from malcom gladwell is "blink" Its about fast thinking and the stuff you gather in a blink of an eye.
Some book i read almost till the end was "how to get people to do stuff" Little stuff you can make to influence people and psychology stuff.
Another i listened was 20 psychology classics . Maybe you don't need to listen / read it as a whole. There is section with business related books. It has snippets and overall details of 20 different books which i have read some after listening to that.

Would like to read more but its not so easy to get these books in paper , got to say for some reason i like reading paper more than from screen.

I like to listen books while taking a walk.
 
I haven't really done much reading, but I'll consider a couple mentioned here for sure.
 
Richest Man in Babylon is a must read for anyone in any walk of life... I am sure that I have given out at least 50 copies of that over the years. I have at least a couple of copies floating around the house and it is also on my tablets.

Just read "Trust Me, I'm Lying: Confessions of a Media Manipulator". A very interesting read and some concepts in there that I can see working very well. Something that I can see reading again down the road as well.

The Alchemist is on my list of things to read as I have heard several guys laud and applaud it, BK071, Howard_Hughes among them. I hope to try and give that a go in September when things calm down a little bit.

How to Win Friends and Influence People is also a go to book that I think should be on every book shelf as every time I pick it up I pick up something positive. It is another timeless book that can have a tremendously positive effect on even the most hardened soul.

Harvey Penick's Little Red Book is also a piece that I pick up every now and then. It is a golf instructional book but goes much deeper than just the game of golf. I don't know that it as universal in appeal as the others above though.
 
The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ Demarco - All time favourite book, amazing amount of knowledge and information.

Recently finished:
- How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big by Scott Adams (creator of Dilbert) - which had some solid information and a bit of humour
- 48 Laws of Power - Robert Greene - stretched out with lots of fables and historic references but some great takeaways

The Alchemist really is phenomenal, it's a quick read too. I'm not a big reader, but it's so worth it. Might actually be better to read it during the winter months. Snow over heat any time.
 
Marketing, business and self improvement book devourer as well here. The ones I would definitely recommend to any entrepreneur/marketer are:

- Crossing the chasm
- Almost all Robert Greene books: 48 Laws of Power, Mastery, 33 Strategies of War, The 50th Law.
- Influence: Psychology of persuasion
- The War of Art
- Contagious: Why things catch on.

These were all big eye openers in my case and filled with practical, easy-to-implement information.

This happens to me quite often, even on BHW.

Reading some of the ridiculous questions on here just makes me more confused. I now try to only read the OP's comments on any method/how to/guide post. Saves for a lot of hassle.
