What do you prioritize first in link building?

I have done some courses and continue to make WP websites, SEO is is always attractive to learn, though it seems vast.. Having have both bought SEO/GMB packages for websites and done a little linking I understand a bit more the time that goes into all this, which I can appreciate. I think for On-Page SEO with Wordpress we have keyword tools and SEO plugin(s) to use to better guide us. If there is only On-Page and Linking then I know my knowledge of the backlinks could improve.

GMB, parasites, PBNs, 301's or what?
Any use of those old tools that make the crappy backlinks these days?

PBNs and other tactics like 301s can still work, but they come with risks - especially post-update

I prioritize relevance and authority first when building links. If the site isn’t relevant to your niche, the link won’t hold much weight, and if it’s not authoritative, it’s not moving the needle.

Get some high quality links first or u will be in risk

Try to get links with your Niche relevancy whether it would be PBNs and Guest posts it must be your first priority

Then the next thing is the Keyword variations for the links you choose because without suitable keywords the links wont give you the graphs

Also focus on Image and Video SEO
