What do you look for in a video editor?

What process do you use when working with a video editor?

Do you just give them your materials and tell the guy/gal to "impress me"?

Or do you give them a template / frame outline?

How do you hire a video editor? Project based or hire them on a monthly basis?

Just one trial and you can see the quality. Different people have different approach and you just have to pick one which goes as per your liking.

Good animation , Good editing upon several shots , responsive in tat and many things . I recommend you that try some editing first to get some going !

It wouldn't be worth it for a video editor to work monthly because they will only think they will be used and abused. Project-based is better for everyone: for you the creator because there is an ROI that is based on your COST. If your COST is fixed it makes your metrics simple to calculate. For the editor, it means timely payment/quick turn-around = more money!
