Seriously now, there are many tutorials on expired/expiring domains picking, especially on PBN guides.

You should first look at its backlinks and that should give you an idea on how good it must be.

You want a domain that was abandoned naturally. So I use all the tools mentioned here to look for a naturally forgotten domain name that hasn't been burned to oblivion yet. That's all there is to it. Actually finding one and testing it requires you use all the tools and creativity.

This is a stupid question but what if a domain WAS "burned to oblivion" say 2 years ago with tons of shitty GSA links, the site got penalized, but 98% of those links dropped off and the site was reindexed / penalty lifted?
AFAIK archive and waybay only record onsite content correct?
But how would you actually find that the site was spammed 2 years ago?

As long as you get clean domains then not. Turning them back into "real sites" might help better though.

301s still work you just gotta be aware of anchor inflation when two sites merge together and only relevance gives boost.

What you guys think of an expired domain with high DA but very few backlinks or no backlinks at all. Would that be okay domain to use for pbn? I know people look for high amount of backlinks in domain but more backlinks means chances of having spammy link is higher.

I would question why Moz is displaying a high DA if there are no backlinks at all - that wouldn't make sense. A domain with a few backlinks might be ok if those backlinks are from good sources (high authority or high relevancy) - I don't have a minimum number of backlinks or root domains when looking at domains.

i think ,its the way you look about.seriously check for negative aspects of the domain with archive tool and ahref.
If its ok,then you may always built a new site on that.I have about 3 or some,16 year old domains that have me as the owner, and checked for all these aspects,thus had a good experience.
