The first way I put it people got confused. I guess in my head it made sense lol. Anyways, I mean what type of information do you guys get.

Meaning do you get a list of there citations they have and can get. What type of info do you get on there compotition?

Is there a set item of information you guys get before meeting a new client?

Also, do you guys figure out the price right then and there when they ask, or do you say I will get back to you about that after I figure some things out.?

Elaborate and maybe you will get some responses...

Always have a pre-meeting pull. Never miss your pre=meeting masturbation or you'll lose allot of clients. Always jack-off before a meeting.

Sigh... what this forum is becoming.

You need to get a snapshot of the situation the client is in. Citations report, seo eval, look at the competition for keywords they are targeting, quick tun thru the keyword tools, a look at backlinks, Google +, the usual social accounts, reviews, onpage seo (xenu), broken links, run a screaming frog report to see what the site actually contains, check the validation of the home page at least.

When you meet with them try to figure out what they want vs what they need, find out what products or services they make the most money with so you can promote them first, and so on. try to learn about the business, and try to figure out if there are any industry terms that other seo' s might not have thought of.

We have a pre-sales dept who takes a lead and try to get the following info: is a person really decision maker & what can motivate him to close the deal.

Alright, lets reformat the question guys.
What's the first question you ask your client when you try too close a deal?
What's your one question if you try too get a understandig of their budget?

Usually brush my teeth, comb my hair, and wash my ass. Anything else you want to know? :p

Now that's going somewhere! :)

1. I don't ask him anything, I ask myself whether the moment is the best to close the deal.
2. "I think that Option 1 is the best for this project, so when do you suppose we can use it? Btw, as your professional consultant, I believe we should use it now! As your friend too, the Option 1 looks much better" (something like this)

Note: Not necessary that Option 1 has to be the most expensive, but for me, it has to be the real best for him... just saying.

hth

All right.

1. Before meeting with the client, search about him, anything you can.

2. In the meeting, ask questions first, get a precise idea of what they want or need, and then offer that to them.

3. Close.
