What do you focus on when building a website?

I began to build my very own website roughly a month ago. It was just recently indexed by Google but it's far from finished. There is only a small amount of traffic leading to it and it's far from being at the top of Google. I did some tests on the website a few minutes ago and according to the results, there appears to be an array of problems with it. I'm trying to sell a HIGH QUALITY product, so presentation is everything. Now, I'm not going to expose my website for fear of giving away my niche But I'll allude to the fact that it is basically a simple Word Press website, with a green template, a brief item description and a few pictures. If the overlords at BHW would be so kind to trickle down some advice on how I can begin to fix these problems. I would be most grateful. Thank yall!

What service/website did you use to 'test' it? Generally I don't put any stock in those type of push-button reports. Default wordpress without a ton of plugins or major theme change should not have any real technical issues.

Though for a high quality product, you want a professional theme that won't look like a wordpress blog.

you realize that the links in the report you have cut and paste lead to your website/niche right??
or am I missing something here?

other then that...finish the site before you index it....the theme sux,theres no content worth speaking of
