For me, I always ask my friends (or they ask me) to go out and have fun with them. Its actually really good and mind refreshing. But they are not always available, so some days I spent alone at home.

When I am alone, I mostly listen music, come here to Lounge and read people's post, play multiplayer games, movies and tv shows. Doing this since like 8 years.

Now scariest thing, I am at that point now, sometimes I don't wanna do any of the things above (like no mood), no interest, maybe because doing this for years gets you bored. So I start thinking about life. When you think about life, there's like so much stuff. This is the part where sad part comes. This is the part when you realize you watch movies, playing games to escape reality.

I am 20. Basically I am at that stage now, where hanging out with friends is the only thing I can have fun and not be sad. I don't enjoy now movies and playing games like I used to do because of this (keep reading).

Just few months ago, I wanted to commit suicide (feel like, not really) because gf left me for some other guy. Breaking up with someone you love is really hardest thing in life (well she left me). When I was with my gf (3 months), I was having the best time of my life. I learned a lot of things from her like what it feels like to have someone who loves you around you. Its the best feeling in life I have ever experienced. I lost interest in everything because of her. Been a month now, we broke up, she moved on but I am stuck. I am not strong enough to let go, maybe I just need time. I don't feel like doing anything now.

I am finding things which can make me happy, but didn't found any so far. So like what do you do when you are alone, sad? What did you do after a break up? Things you did to be happy again?

I am 23. Turn 24 this year. Graduated Uni in 4 years at 21. Got a job straight out of school, absolutely hated it, stuck with it for a year, went in one Monday, quit. Was unemployed for 3 months.. Applied for a digital marketing sales job (knew nothing of digital marketing), the manager said i'd be better on the technical (SEO) side, and boom, here I am, less than 8 months later. From 0 to lots of knowledge.

I say this because I have been in your boat. I have a GF (6 years in March), from highschool and we've had ups and downs, both personal, relationship-wise, job-wise, etc....

I refer to what you're in as the "Twenties Beatdown" You're in the stage of life where nothing makes sense, you don't know how to adult, don't have a job... whatever the reasons being. You are "stuck" or so it seems.

#1 I can recommend: a group. I meet with a group of similar "twenty-somethings" who have gone through this, (or are still going through it - it's ongoing), and we talk about everything. Life, politics, religion, what's going on in our relationships. How it all contributes to our "Twentys Beatdown".

It's a real thing. People say "confusion phase" of life is during high school/college, but I say absolutely not. "Confusion phase" = "Twentys Beatdown" = "20-28+"

Start doing SPORT and read more useful materials about SEO or whatever you are interested in. It does not sound fun, right?
Well it will, once you get adapted to it and you will start liking it.
Once you feel that you are contributing to yourself you will like doing it. Once you see your body becoming sexier you will like it. Once you see even a little satisfying result in such stuff, you will never stop doing it, trust me.
Yes, I know, it's hard to keep yourselfrself doing it in the beginning, as it's hard to get to that point when you see some result. But once you see, you enjoy it.

Sport and the SEO is an example. Apply this pretty much to anything, started with making home porn videos ended with getting wasted after each weekend day.

bot tinder, let it run 24/7 and "make love" (fuck) everyone that match you untill you feel happier.
What bot Tinder? Share please lol

You are exactly right. I am in the "Twenties Beatdown" nothing seems to makes sense, so looking for some answers from adults who went though the same. I am doing college right now, will be graduated in 21 just like you. Then going for job.

Damn, 6 years is a long time, having a GF makes you feel great. Did you went though any break up before that? If yes, what did you do to get though with that?

I am stuck because GF left me, we had an amazing time together and I miss those moments. Maybe I just need more time to heal.

I hang out with friends (same age as me 20, 4-5 people) and discuss things about everything just like you said. This is the only thing which makes me happy and not sad for a while (for now).

But they are always not available, so when I am alone at home, I am sad and just want to get through with this now. Memories haunt me, things we shared together (GF).

I remember my breakup after 3 years relationship, it made me so sick and I have been sitting alone in home for few weeks... Good friends helped me alot. Meeting new girls and picking up new hobbies helped a lot too. It's hard to start but it's worth it. You can make new friends, have fun and relax. Going to the gym or other sports are great. Check out RSD Tyler videos about breakup on yt.

And don't overthinking.

Definitely time.

Time heals all my friend.

BUT! I will recommend. Find a movie (Or movies) or TV show(s) that you REALLY enjoy. Like makes you happy, you throw on every time you see on tv, etc.

Watch that movie or tv show anytime you feel blue. Begin associating your unhappiness with the shows, but these shows bring you joy, so it cancels it out! You feel sad? Think about your favorite scene from Brink or Johnny Tsunami! (Go check out classic Disney movies for some suggestions)

You'll be fine, Just find new things to do and bond with your family they will help surely
A saying goes: Live well. It is the greatest revenge.

Hey !
I too have posted such a thread and i would like to tell you here that when ever i feels sad i just write and write, it could be a story, a poem, or a poetry

Hey bro,
I am 21 y/o guy who had quite much girls and I can honestly tell you that you will be fine. Yea, you loved her, but if she left you for another guy, she didn't love you back and that is what hurts most. Sometimes people come to your life just to teach you something and then they leave. That's how it goes in life. Maybe I am 21 y/o, but in my mind I think like someone with a lot of experience.

Trust me, life will be good always, but if you let him to push you all around you will get depressed and you will have thoughts like suicide and shit like that. Be strong and find power within you. I do not have a lot of friends and the ones I do I see them just few days per year and that is fine. You are the one who controls your life and you are the one responsible how you feel.

Mind is strong tool. Use it to lower down your emotions. That's what I did. When girlfriend dumped me after year and half of relationship I didn't get depressed instead I calm myself down and decided that I will just be single and that's what I did. I was single for 2 years straight. After 2 years I have met this awesome girl who is like the best person I have ever met. It is way to early to say but I can feel that she will be my for the rest of my life.

The Universe has big plans for you, just be patient.

Give it time to heal, read books, watch Youtube videos, eat healthy, exercise, spend time with your close ones adn great things will happen.

I wish you all the best,

Cheers mate!

You are trying to draw state from others instead of yourself. get into self development. For as far I can read, you come over really desperate and needy. If you can't make yourself happy, why would girls be happy around you? You need to get an abundance mindstate. You are now in scarcity my friend. Girls flee away from that as fast as they can if they feels this energy.

Thanks mate!

Thanks mate, really appreciate it.

I keep watching this movie called "When Harry Met Sally", its really good. Its about love and also life (almost related to what happened to me recently). And this TV show "Friends" which makes me happy. But only for quite some time.

I do have trouble sleeping, starts to think about life and also her. I know, its just time I need.

Everyone needs time to heal, some heal quicker and some takes months. Its just taking more time for me.

i know that feel OP #justmillennialthings
what works best for me is staying busy with work or a new hobby
if you can keep your mind busy with other things then you won't have time to sweat the small stuff
just focus on yourself - stay healthy, be happy, and be productive
everything else will fall into place

Okay, so you're heartbroken
You sit around mopin'
Crying, crying
You say you're even thinking about dying?
Well, before you do anything rash
Dig this

Everybody plays the fool sometime
There's no exception to the rule
Listen, baby
It may be factual, may be cruel
I ain't lying
Everybody plays the fool

Falling in love is such an easy thing to do
And there's no guarantee that the one you love
Is gonna love you

Oh, loving eyes, they cannot see
A certain person could never be
Love runs deeper than any ocean
It clouds your mind with emotion

Everybody plays the fool sometime
There's no exception to the rule
Listen, baby
It may be factual, may be cruel
I wanna tell you that
Everybody plays the fool

How can you help it when the music starts to play
And your ability to reason is swept away

Oh, heaven on earth is all you see
You're out of touch with reality
And now you cry, but when you do
Next time around someone cries for you

Everybody plays the fool sometime
They use your heart just like a tool
Listen baby, they never tell you so in school
I wanna say it again, everybody plays the fool

Listen to me, baby
Everybody plays the fool sometime
(There's no exception to the rule)
No exception to the rule
It may be factual, may be cruel sometimes
Everybody plays the fool

Listen, listen, baby
Everybody plays the fool
