I hurt my neck from work or the gym, but I think it was from work in 2016, and I had building discs; they suggested 12-hour surgery. I had this pain in my fingers like fire on my hand, and the disc number was escaping me, but it was hell between that and my job. Thank God, when I was in physical therapy, a woman came up to me and said no matter the pain, don't get the surgery, and she said, "Look at me." I could see she was very skinny and in pain, and I appreciated her advice. I went to another specialist, and they said no heavy lifting at all for 3 or more years, and it might just repair itself, and thank God it did. How'd you injure yourself?
I am ten times better, but I do worry if I do it again, I will injure my neck, and that is what is keeping me from doing it again as I don't know if it was from that or my work where I had an accident lifting heavy stuff from carts as part of a staff celebration. Thanks for asking @sageshark, and I hope all is well with you!How are you now? Hope all is fine.
Most people don't understand how important stretching is in life, especially if you're going to lift something, train in any shape or form, or stretch every part of your body; many people don't do so every day. Hence, they get health problems, I recommend you stretch every part of your body for 10 minutes before going to sleep and especially for 10-20 minutes before training or lifting anything also eating healthy is really important, which many don't do, for neck pain you should eat almonds & walnuts, salmon/tuna/sardines but check if they are not high in mercury, spinach and kale are also good, eat more fruits and vegetables, try eating less meat, especially meat full of saturated fats like pig's meat, I recommend you avoid saturated fats all in all, so no fast food. Take in ashwagandha, creatine, Brazilian nuts(you can eat only 1-3 a day, be careful), and drink high-value water instead of tap water which is full of a bunch of chemicals and goes through old pipes that have not changed for years, i also recommend you eat garlic, ginger & raw onions daily and by the way for the water, you should take at least 2+ liters every day.I had to take so many days off it became an issue, and I was left with no time off. It was not a good time in my life, but all I can tell anyone is that stuff gets better. I have many health problems, and hopefully, I can make it to 60 or higher one day, but who knows, as life is precious, and you never know.
Sorry for the extended version of my story, but I thought I put it out there as I was not in the greatest mindset either.
I won't edit it since you might not see it, but my auto-grammar on the phone corrected PH water to high-value water. Even though no huge research found out anything related to PH water, i started drinking only PH water 4 years ago and i started feeling more energetic and relaxed, whenever i drink all my water if i am thirsty and try drinking tap water it will taste like crap to me, try it out, it's either that tap water is bad or there is something in ph water that helps our bodies. Most people don't understand how important stretching is in life, especially if you're going to lift something, train in any shape or form, or stretch every part of your body; many people don't do so every day. I appreciate your advice @sscaz, but I always stretch due to the scoliosis in my back, and four days out of the week, I eat only a salad for dinner with a light dinner snack with coffee and water throughout the day. I drink Artesian water as I live in an area where it's not safe to drink tap water. Most people don't understand how important stretching is in life, especially if you're going to lift something, train in any shape or form, or stretch every part of your body; many people don't do so every day. Well, if you're gaining weight you're eating more calories than you need per day, you're probably eating something high in calories but useless when it comes to anything your body actually needs like vitamines/proteins/minerals etc, hence you feel hunger even though you ate that something.I appreciate your advice @sscaz, but I always stretch due to the scoliosis in my back, and four days out of the week, I eat only a salad for dinner with a light dinner snack with coffee and water throughout the day. I also have salmon once a week, but I gained a lot of weight again, so I am not doing something correctly and should follow some of what you have been saying. Thanks for your tips and time for writing it as I have to make some changes and thanks again for your suggestions as I will take them in.
