No one is going to answer those questions honestly, especially the later.
However, this is all the motivation you should need-
take it from me that IM and SEO can be extremely lucrative - you have the entire planet as your target market.
BUT its f**king hard work. So you need to first beleive that there is lots of money to be made, beleive in yourself and then work work work work work work and dont stop till you make it.

I run an online business (not SEO services). I use SEO, SMM, etc. to promote that business. Basically, instead of getting paid to sell things for other people, I sell services for my own company and then make money off of that.
