What do T shirt designers use

Hey BHW
I just wanted to ask, where do T-shirt designers get all of these nice patterns of vectors on the shirts? Like arrows squiggly lines and such and such to make the design look very good, and where do they get the artwork?
There's this website that buys vector files from websites then post it online to share with everyone, just say i use the vector files they are sharing with everyone for free can I get caught for using their vector files for free, if so how?

Most designers make their own but if you want to search google for T-shirt mock ups i'm sure you will find a few options.

Hmmm, Yea but there are websites that leak paid ones out for free, If i used them on my designs would I be able to get caught? For example T shirt design on teespring.

Adobe Illustrator is the software of choice for t-shirt designers.

If the artist or the site that sells it sees their work being used in a shirt they can request a proof of license from you. Honestly, I feel like it's a long shot for someone to come across it but it's possible.

As eyerish said Adobe Illustrator is the industry standard, and it only produces vector graphics. You could always doodle around in there and create your own designs.

If you're just looking to design stuff to sell t-shirts online then just use Photoshop or (as everyone else mentioned) Illustrator. You can also use Corel Draw - which is what a lot of people in the industry use.

Illustrator and Corel Draw are mostly used by the printing company themselves because the file has to be vector so you can get a good print. Plus, they need to separate each color, implement half tones (or gradients), etc.

The problem you'll run into using Photoshop is it's easy to get carried away using a lot of different colors - which will make your costs for the t-shirt go up (if screen printing). If they can do Direct To Garment (DTG), then you need to submit your file as a 1:1 scale PNG file with a transparent background so the printer knows how much ink it will take to print the shirt.

Designers use vector softwares like illustrator or coreldraw for vectors , you can scale them to any size without loosing its quality unlike photoshop that's a raster software, so for clean vector images,go for illustrator or corel

You can costumize t-shirts online, with own design. thousands of idea's stickers and letters to choose from. Take your time, try a few designs. Ask friends which one they would choose from. Which one you feel good about, buy 10-20 pieces, see if it works out. keep 1 t-shirt. find someone that can make the same t-shirt for cheaper, but not too cheap.

I know friends in The Netherlands that selling t-shirts. there an average ''good t-shirt is about 25 Euros, yes very expensive'' 11 euro's to create the t-shirt etc.
He goes all the way to Serbia, and making the same t-shirt for less then 4 euros. if he buy hundreds, he get an extra discount etc.

Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Generally buy clip art off the internet or create your own

I use gimp to make a basic idea and then inkscape for vectorization, refinement and any text I want added. Both are free
