What do people think about godaddy hosting?

Both Hostgator and Godaddy are trash. Basically anything EIG owned is absolute garbage and I know that Godaddy isn't EIG but they might as well be.. Hostwinds is a good company with a solid owner.

most of saying it's bad with their experience.

Yes It's bad service don't get hosting from them.

I recommend hostgator.

I know someone that used it and it was not worth the effort. Cheap but customer service was not up to par like it should have been.

I'm using the wordpress hosting with go daddy and currently have my website optimization over 97% so I'm happy. I don't like the fact that would have to ring them for support. No live chat or e-mail.

Wordpress managed account, not bad. For the other options is kinda slow, I've seen worse services that claim to be better but that's marketing and the only way to know is checking by yourself. Most of the times in hosting services "cheap" is not good. Remember that when something becomes popular... well just an opinion based on my short experience. Have a nice day everyone.

I've had nothing but problems with GoDaddy. But I was using WordPress, which I'm sure contributed to the problem. I've since dumped both and went "old-school" -- nothing but plain html. My site runs like lightening now.

I've been using Godaddy for a long time and now is the time for a better change. Their service is slow when using Wordpress and I get those emails saying "Alert: hosting account approaching resource limits". Which hosting provider would you recommend? Hostgator? Will I be able to transfer my website wordpress files from Godaddy to a different host?

Just transfered my domain name and my whole website from Godaddy to Hostgator. My website speed went from slow to super fast :) I will never use Godaddy again, never again.

Godaddy is not a good option with wordpress. better for domain hosting, though not the cheapest

I've generally never had any bad experiences with GoDaddy. They have gotten slow in the past months though.

Godaddy is a crap... Try Liquidweb or Storm On Demand cloud hosting or a cheaper cloud host atlantic.net...

If your budget is low then Godaddy is perfect for you... But please don't expect long term profit and good ranking for long term from Godaddy..

Anyone use namecheap hosting? How is it? It's dirt cheap though.
