I am article marketing as with just a few articles i have seen a good amount of traffic.
One thing i am not good with is writing and i have no money to outsource work. So what i am doing is re writing articles that are on the article directories and re submitting them.

I am using word flood to help me do this and i just want to know how much of the article do i have to change for it to be seen as new content.

At the moment i have been changing 20+% of the articles.
Is this enough?

Quite frankly, I've never used a spinning program, but in my personal experience re-arranging the articles along with some rewriting is necessary. I don't think that 20% is enough, though I'm sure one could make an argument to the contrary. I think what SE's are parsing for is exact phrasing being used. If you're re-arranging each sentence by "20%" you're probably fine. If you're just re-arranging 20% of the article, you might want to take a look at other software, or finding a partner who can write well. A quick article spin shouldn't cost you that much and the service might even be worth a profit share.

I find that making them about 80% unique is fine. for a 400 word article this is simple.
It may be cheaper to find article re-writers rather than just writers too as they already have a base to work off.

There’s no fixed % that guarantees content will be seen as “new” search engines focus on originality and value, not word changes. Focus on fully rewriting ideas in your own words instead of aiming for a percentage.
