What do i do wrong?

I came to this point that i feel like a total noob.
I work so hard to get my blog/youtube videos pointed out but they just wont?
I've been putting alot of money and dedication the past 2 years in creating youtube videos, but if it wasn't for tubetoolbox spamming everyone with video shares i didn't even had 1/5 of what i have now.
Seriously what do i do wrong? I really do my best to get noticed and gain followers/subscribers but it just goes so damn slowwww and if i don't promote, my channel is like dead.
What i totally don't understand is that some people are on youtube for like 8 months? and they have like 100k+ subscribers, hit the frontpage every damn time they make a video and grow so damn fast.
The worst part of this is that there videos are like so DAMN similar to mine but why wont it happen to my channel?
I really feel like giving up cause no matter how hard i work for it, i'm like a turtle if i compare me with those people who can dominate youtube under a year with just making similar videos as me.

Are your videos worth watching? Do people want to come back everytime you post a new video? Are you giving something of value?

As far i know 70% of my the comments are that girls find me damn hot so no thankyou.

Well i do get positive feedback on them, and my subscribers do come back but i just don't get noticed? Those dudes who go to the top in like 8 months are just the same as me, they make also vlogs and fun videos but why do they go viral and im stuck spamming everyone to get noticed? that's what i cant figure out

Maybe the "spamming everyone" is actually hurting you more than it's helping. Remember to make videos based around popular topics and wait till one goes viral. Instead of spamming people just let your content work for you, it will make you look much more professional. Don't forget to use good tags also, while making sure not to spam a bunch of fake or unrelated tags.

Hmm you got a point i wanna stop with the spamming and i did that for a while but then my traffic dropped with 50%, and you're right about that but how do i know what are the hot topics? Cause they change every week and i do check reddit and keep an eye on the frontpage but mostly i won't find anything that will blow up quickly. Got suggestions maybe where i can stay up to date with the topics?

Youtube trends (google it, it should be on top) is pretty good. You don't have to make a video about something before it goes viral, you just need to get your video up while people are still searching for that topic. A quick look at the Youtube trends site shows that there are still a lot of people watching videos about the Red Bull Stratos jump and more recently about hurricane Sandy. Of course it is better to be one of the first people to put up a video of a popular topic, you don't have to be as long as you get your video up while people are still searching for it.
