in my opinion it's just a word of mouth.

if you get 40-50 big people on deck, you're good to go. smaller creators who look up to them will start using it, thus building a chain.

so when the "big guns" signed up on OF, it was kinda game over.
 
I saw it as a great PR example of "trading up the chain". Has anyone read Ryan Holiday's "Trust Me I'm Lying - Confessions Of A Media Manipulator"?
 
I do marketing for some onlyfans of accounts and I have to say that a lot of people come to OF and immediately think they will make millions. This is because they read the articles of the "creators" who chase the views behind the articles in this way.

As it is elsewhere .. OF also needs good marketing and it is not easy to sell 20k USD per month in addition to other platforms where you can sell content. Pornhub is dead, because their credit cards don't work for them ... and there are a lot of free loaders from big tubes that don't buy absolutely anything. But there are also a lot of sites where people buy great.

I tell every model that it's hard to build something, but then when it makes money it takes a long time. Clearly you can't just build your store on OF, if you have content from a model or pornstars, then you have to use hundreds of resources and a method promo. .. but it works ...
 
Its influencer marketing, nothing to do with the name or how they do things, literally just the influencers
 
well my straight fat friend (nothing wrong with that) made an only fans account and he got 12 subscribers at 10$/month. He didn't even marketed his account, I think they found him from the onlyfans feed or something.

Imagine a good looking guy with abs what can do + marketing :P

The average monthly income is 180 dollars per month and they make it like everybody is winning millions, but they became the biggest because everything is fake.

Onlyfans is like Tai lopez.. promising big results fast, it's all fake...

So what do they do? they promoted their brand as a get rich quick scheme and it worked.

Im my mind Onlyfans is well organized for newbies.
1. Payment system
2. Easy to find cross promo between similiar girls
3. Possible to upload content once and sell it all time ( of course it's not a story about big money)

My experience tells me it's the celebs like this that boosted the recognition, in conjunction with marketing efforts by the site itself. Regardless of how nefarious their marketing tactics may or may not be, they acted at the right time. There's also an affiliate system, that helps.

The last time I saw this was the PR releases about shopify a few years ago.

"These people are making 1 million a year with Shopify, selling products they don't even touch"

The intelligence was to replace the facts that you need to create a long lasting business to focus on the "tool", because Shopify and Onlyfans are only this... tools. And people believe that if you are on the plateforme, everything will be easy as fuck and money will come from the sky.

Mailchimp did that 10 years ago too... great marketing

Right now, it seems the current trend (outside of OF) is with cryptos, as it became so popular recently...

Well you get my point. Not to say OF does not work, every business well done works, but it's just a tool, between marketers we understand this...
