What did I do wrong?

Hello, people say getting page rank requires works and takes some time. I started this site about 18 days ago, in march. i just checked today and saw that the site has got pr 3. As far as I remember I did not see any pr about 4-5 days ago. Is there something wrong cause I think it gained from 0 to pr 3 just suddenly? I did some seo but I don't know which techniq was so effective that the site has even got that sweet lil PR 3 so suddenly. Is it just system error or something? Did that happen to anyone here before? I have never used BH method to this site though.

Forget to say this. PR increases 1 after 1, right? But how come this one got all 3 right away??

Google doesn't update your publicly-facing pagerank number frequently. If they did, it'd be trivial to find out exactly what moved it along the scale in either direction.

I don't know the frequency of its updates, but I'd assume it's on the order of months.
