Last night, Dallas cops were injured and killed last night in a horrific mass killing. I made a tshirt that says blue lives matter with the blue line, then underneath said "Pray for Dallas". I bought facebook ads for it and targeted the state of texas as well as my home city, and targeted conservative and moderate people. It got 0 sales after a full day of facebook advertising and got only 20 website clicks. What did I do wrong?

Too soon? What was your FB ad budget? if it was only $10 that's not too bad, but if it was much higher then something is wrong.

You're trying to make profit off a horrific event. Please don't do that. But to answer your question, people nowadays are aware that Teespring has a verified badge if it's a non-profit.

There are a million other shirts you can sell.

Check your CTR. If it's very low say less than 1%, maybe your ad *uck. Try other design or messaging. Do AB testing.

People have and always will profit off death. As tragic as it is, life goes on.

Might be the design? Plays a huge part in it.

You could literally have the exact same argument when it comes to murder. People always will murder others, life goes on. This is an extreme example.

Of course there's nothing I can or will do about it but just advising against it as it's immoral. Not judging him.

well it was probably the design. if the logo didn't appear to people then you wouldn't receive the attention it deserves.

20 clicks is not enough. Were you directing straight to teespring? That's the problem. Should have made a custom LP. Furthermore the "blue lives matter" thing

Should have been "Dallas Stand together" or "Stay Strong Dallas." Something that inspires positive emotions. But the whole "x lives matter" thing is just a statement. It doesn't elicit strong emotions in me.

When people buy something like that they expect a portion of that money do go to charity. Next time say that 5% of the proceeds go towards Dallas. Or if you want to be REAL dirty, say that 100% of all profits go to Dallas, which draws them in. On the very bottom of the page, which few people will notice, you write a disclaimer that it's only for the first x amount of shirts. Afterward it's only 10% profit donated. Hosting costs, blah blah blah. . .You get the idea.

You're going in the right direction. . . Major event --> take action --> make money.

Try this. Register domain like DallasStandStrong.com with a logo of people holding hands. Do what I said and implement your own twists. Maybe throw a petition underneath the t-shirt.
