The new U series chips are not that far behind desktops

How hot does it get? what about the screen? Does it hurt your eyes? battery backup?

Sorry for too many questions. I was interested in the new ryzen U series chips, 4th and 5th gen

I have tested the cpu by mining crypto on it, maximum it gets around 84*C. Quality of screen is ok with this price range.
I got around 4 hrs battery backup with maximum performance
Does it hurt your eyes?
Not till now

I switched from a gaming setup (high end ryzen, 32gb ram) to a M1 Macbook Air. Honestly its amazing and so much cleaner/portable.

Working with photoshop, it runs faster than the Ryzen equivalent on larger files, which is amazing, plus the battery life is amazing.

Intel and AMD better watch out, the new chips coming out of Apple and IBM are game changers.

I’ve got
Intel i7 6700k
STRIX 1070
32GB of DDR3
booting off of a 250 gig solid state, have an extra 2TB disk HD.

Also have a Schiit Modi/Magni 2 stack for audio.

I’m looking to upgrade my monitor, right now I have an Asus 1080p 24" that I got for 150 a few years ago.

i5-2500 (been with me for 9yrs, not even hyperthreaded, need to upgrade)
gtx 960
32 gb ram

I'm upgrading to ryzen 9 5000 + rtx 3000 as soon as i find a reasonably priced gpu
