what type of desktop specs you use for regular use.
I use i7 32 gb ram which is fast ok speed.
Never had any problem.
Although I remove all software which I don't use for keeping up speed to maximum

it seems like gone are the days when most people were used to have max 4gb ram. Now most of the people are having at least 10-16GB ram

6 core amd something or other, and 24gigs ram.

Had 6 cores for a few years now, still to expensive to upgrade to double, gone are the days that every few years, you could buy double what you had before.
 
- Intel i3 8350k.
- 1 TB SSD, but I also have a 4 TB external HDD and a 2 TB cloud account.
- 16 GB RAM, but I rarely use more than 8.
- No dedicated video card as I don't play games anymore.

Not the most powerful PC ever, but I keep it clean and optimized and I only install apps that I really need, so it's very fast.
 
Leenvo think pad from 2018. Specs are easy to look up. I also have a second hand 21 inch monitor I use for a primary display while using the laptops as a secondary.
