What comes after Instagram?

I have a client who I advise from time to time who is building their personal brand. I see their account growing and they are succeeding at building their own personal brand on Instagram with a consistent fan base. At what point in their growth should I give them the advise to hire a PR firm so that they may get press, an Instagram verification mark, and the exposure to become a real public figure?

I am looking for an incredibly rough estimate, nothing specific. Is 100k followers too low? 500k?

Please give me your opinion.

I've seen people getting verification mark with even less than 10k followers. So, it has not much to do with it. Getting it at any stage is always a big plus point. What you do need to look for, is their budget and how good they are doing and whether they can afford all this.

I used to work for a rock band that got verified at 2k followers ( but they were signed to a major label so that's probably why)..its hard to answer your question without knowing their niche or what they actually do. A friend of mine makes $200k a year selling online courses with 40k IG followers and something like 150k Youtube subs. He's not famous but he's def killing it.

Followers doesn't matter really. Unibet have their US account verified since it had 50 followers, now it has 109. (@unibetus)

number of followers does not matter. you need couple of articles about your/brand . i've seen pages with 0 followers verified !

I've seen pages like 400 followers getting verified simply cuz they work for big networks like ABC - fox ect... You just have to be officially known.
