What coding skills does a newbie need?

Hey everyone, relatively new here. Been trying IM for about 6 months now and the more I work, the more I realize that automation is needed.
I have developed an IG and Tiktok network manually, which could have been done way easier with coding. It took me 2 years and my network is only 600k.

The more I read here, the more overwhelmed I get. Before joining, I didn't know what scrapping, proxy , VPS, API were, and I'm trying to get into them as soon as possible (sadly I am a perfectionist so the fear of missing out is killing me).

So I ask you, what programming languages should I get to learning asap? I don't even know what a script is, but I learn quick and would like to begin Instagram automation as fast as possible.

My only experience with coding is that we're studying the language C on my university this semester. It's my first semester and I'm 19. I Business Management by the way.

You're looking at it completely wrong..Think of what you would need to automate first.. what you would want to create.. then find out what language could help you build that faster and then start to work on learning and actually building.. don't just throw darts at coding languages

First you need to learn how the web works, how websites are built and then you should look into automation.

I suggest you start with freeCodeCamp - is free and has great resources.

Follow their curriculum and you will have a good starting point in learning (or better said Understanding) code.

C and C++ are perfect programming languages to start with. There are many C/C++ libraries around to automate HTTP requests, store data in SQL databases, handle sockets.

Indeed PHP and also Python are nice scripting languages. But since he studies C at his university, he could improve his C/C++ skills by using this programming language.

Learn c# there is a ton of help available in the form of other developers, and documentation, I'm finding it's the best language so far, and I've gained easy to medium proficiency in a few now.

Learn Python + Selenium. It is free and easy to learn.

It also really depends on the web application that you are targeting. If its a popular one like youtube, you can directly go with the API and learn about using it. Or using generic approaches like simulating the traffic via requests, selenium with python, puppeteer, etc.

And C# as well

You can also learn C-based languages such as Java, C#, but your authomatisation stuff can be done also with scripting languages like php
