What changed on Quora over the last few years?

I used to spend a lot of time on quora a few years ago, then I stopped using it for a while. I recently started using quora again a long break, and it feels very different compared to when I was active before. Some answers still get good visiblity, while others seem to get very little reach. For those who have been using quora consistently, what do you think has changed the most in terms of traffic, engagement, or answer visibility.

The competition has increased .There is a lot more content being published, so simply answering questions is not always enough. Detailed ,helpful answers tend to perform better,especially when they provide real experience or unique insights.

Honestly, it’s just ruined by AI spam now. The filters are so aggressive that dropping a single link or CTA gets you shadowbanned instantly.

More people have joined in this time period so there is more competition on the visibility of posts, engagement etc.
