For 30k I'd buy a nicely restored 1967 Mustang.

Actually I'd probably buy one for ~7k and spend the rest restoring it myself.
Classic is the way to go, the car won't even depreciate unless you wreck it.

I paid cash for a new TDI last August. Great car and I get close to 50mpg on the highway.

It's imposable to lock you keys up in this car. The wipers slow down when your at a light. The front seats have bun warmers. Bluetooth for your cell phone, and the list goes on.

Plus with synthetic oil the oil change is 10k miles with free service for 100k.

Think of a Volvo. I would recommend it for safety and other features over any other.

Probably an rx7 - dunno why i just love em!

Or a replica lambo on a mr2, costs bout 15k then i'd spend a bit making it perform just as well.

I like old school muscle though, sadly any nice ones usually cost a lot more than $30k!

I don't care about a car too much as long as it is reliable. I do care about houses though...and that is what I own.

If you have an expensive car, then you should also have everything that goes with it...a successful business, a big house or two and money in the bank or the whole image is wrong.
