I bought a car identical to this one when I was in high school, a "few" years back.
I still have it.
I may well be buried in it but that would be a bad thing to do, so I'll leave it to my son.
My personal photos of this car are not yet included in my internet files, so I'm referring you to one like mine which admittedly looks a lot better!
It is a 1939 Packard Twelve, Model 1708 and yes; that means TWELVE cylinders.
The car had air conditioning added to it in 1941 by the dealership when Packard brought out A/C.
You know how you turn off the A/C?
You take off the belt or turn off the blower!
NO thermostat!

The car was for sale for $750 USD in 1967 and I was pushin' the broom at a couple of department stores in the city for $1.65 USD an hour; fuck; I was only 16! The guy who had the car for sale took my $20 USD deposit and held the car for me for a few months while I made payments.
Fuel economy?
yeah, right
5-7 MPG at best and 4-5 with the A/C on!
474 CID V12, HUGE Stromberg EE3 and special Packard "mountain gearing"; that is FIVE FUCKING SEVENTEEN to you!

Douchebaggery aside, I drive a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer with intake and soon to be exhaust. I love to play with cars, so this one is just right for me. I'd like the new Evo X, but that thing sucks gas like no other.
