I've tried Pinterest a few times and I did make some sales via amazon affiliate but I didn't make enough to keep going. Pinterest would block my domain for no reason and unblock it every few days. I've messaged many established pages who had the same problem and there was nothing they could do about it so I moved away from the platform. Maybe things have changed nowadays.
Back to your question, with Pinterest you could do affiliate marketing, write content and monetize it with adsense or taboola, dropshipping, collecting emails, and much more.
