Hi all

I have around 40 domain names just sitting on my account and doing nothing with them at all.

I wondering if there is anything I can do with these maybe to earn a few bob in in some way to develop a little to promote my blogs/website

Just seems a waste to have them doing nothing

Thanks

You can try selling them, but unless they have PR or are good keyword domains you won't get much for them, probably a few dollars each.

depending on what your domains are, are they .coms, brandable or have keywords on them?

Try selling them at sedo or flippa. Or park some dummy page on them full of ads....

Try to park them, if they bring nothing, try to sell them and even if you cant sell them, JUST DROP them :P
Always if you don't want to develope them...
I was in the same situation before, and I dropped most of my domains, they will just cost you money if you don;t develope...
Cheers

What if I developed them all as blogs, basic designs with original (well, along with spun content) and used them to cross promote my main blog.

Is this even worth it?

Barts ... dummy pages for of ads? tell me more please

I would setup a couple of Blogger blogs using a new Google account setup on a different IP. Add some unique content, outlink to other sites and to yours (not every piece of content). The links will get indexed quickly and will add domain diversity, you could even throw up some affiliate ads.

Thats kinda what I was thinking off and while not abusing them, maybe doing something by selling links or similar

Really nice thread.

I have around 20 domains to without content or traffic, i would like to sell or develop them. Have some nice .net domains that could work.

If someone has experience, just let me know.

Thanks

You could easily do this. Create some decent quality content and then sell in text links or allow for clients to post guest posts which aren't obviously guest posts. Do a bit of backlinking to the domains and you could probably make a few dollars per link at least. Done right it could be a nice little side spinner of an activity.
